Year 8 Summer Term - Narrative

This term you will learn all about narrative in art. You will be able to read into images, create your own work which tells a story, or work that is inspired by stories, or books themselves. You might also look at graphic novels, as well as illustrators.

Summer term homework project:

Year 9 Summer Term - Encounters

This term the theme of your art will be encounters.
You will get to know artwork from the Dada movement, as well as the surrealists. You will learn why artists in these movement have created their work, and how. You will be able to try out different materials and ideas techniques, and learn new skills in creating your own work.

HWS at the Young Art Exhibition - Royal College of Art

Four students from Highgate Wood School have had their work selected to go on display at an exhibition entitled Young Art at the prestigious Royal College of Art on Tuesday, 11th May. (Asha Ogum aged 11, Tilly Bird aged 12, Toby Buchan aged 11 and Lola Lillitos, aged 11.) Parents,teachers and members of the public are welcome to attend the exhibition private view at:
